It all started in 1991 when owner Jody Gable opened his first dealership,
Gable Auto & Truck Center on Route 7, east of Cobleskill, New York.
He acquired the Pontiac, Buick and GMC Truck franchises in July of
1991.
Jody added the Chrysler,
Plymouth, Dodge and Jeep franchises in 1998, he then built a new Five Star
facility across the street from his first dealership, this opened in
December of 1998.
In November of 1999,
Jody purchased the Chevrolet dealership in Middleburgh, NY from John
Skinner, and changed the name to Gable Chevrolet.
In June of 2001 the
Middleburgh location was merged with Gable Auto & Truck Center, Inc.
in Cobleskill, NY.
In November of 1995,
Jody added another new facility Gable Motor Sports, to his Gable
Auto & Truck property. He is now the largest Motorcycle, Snowmobile
and ATV dealer in the county.
Jody's philosophy is
simple, "Take Care of the Customer". He does this by providing a
quality Product, quality Service, quality Parts, and a warm and friendly
sales staff. Jody's pride, friendliness and attitude rubs off on all
of his staff.
